“Pete’s music is founded on his study of classical guitar and his love of Rock, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Country, Bluegrass, and World Music. His early influences include Bach and The Beatles, but his exposure to progressive rock bands such as Yes, Genesis, and ELP ignited his passion for the guitar. His contemporary influences include John Mayer, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse and Dream Theater, among others, and he continually embraces his love of many musical styles. As a solo performer, his instrumental and vocal approach bring his original songs to life, while his eclecticism leads listeners down many musical paths.
The Pete Giuliani Band plays acoustic and electric sets covering vast musical terrain, from gritty folk, blues, bluegrass and country tunes to imaginative rock, funk and fusion based adventures, adding excursions into surf, reggae, jazz, pop and indie rock. Possibly the most versatile band in the 4 Corners Region, the group is led by Pete along with companion songwriters Richard Leavitt (guitar/slide guitar/vocals) Ross Douglas (guitar, slide/guitar, mandolin and vocals), Amaya Cranston (vocals/violin), Kyle Schultz (electric bass) Mark Rosenberg (drums/percussion), their inspiring original music and eclectic collection of cover tunes brings something for everyone to enjoy. Infectious dance grooves, resonant vocal harmonies, instrumental mastery and unique songwriting are all part of the mix.
