Agave plays groove-based, feel-good Americana (folk-rock) originals and a variety of covers, including tunes from the Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Lumineers. Members include Lech Usinowicz on standup bass (founder of the Be FRANK Foundation and member of the San Juan Symphony), Ryan Blundell on lead guitar and mandolin (also a member of several bands in the Durango area and cohost of a weekly open mic), Mary Lynne Herr on banjo and vocals, Karl Herr, rhythm guitar, lead vocals and harmonica. Guest musicians have included Bruce Allsopp on steel guitar and Galen Clark on mando, guitar, and sound. Agave has been making music together for close to 20 years, playing out for a decade.
